Racism

What is racism? Racism is any attitude, action or institutional structure which systematically treats an individual or group of individuals differently because of their race. Racism is a world wide problem that needs to be diminished. Judging someone because of their skin is simple unacceptable as no one really chooses their skin colour. So what causes on to be racist? Upbringing: parents have a huge affect on their children as every time they react harshly to a person of another race, they are basically teaching their children the subconscious message that “this is right thing to do”. Peer Pressure also is another factor for one to be racist as is the personal experience of a person. For instance say if one was assaulted by another person from another race, your likely to adopt the a fear a bad opinion of people of that race or colour. The act of racism is totally unacceptable, wrong and immoral.
