Kid A: “my dad can pick up a truck” Kid B: “Liar liar your pant on fire” LOL! Good old days :D some common lies 'If You Don't Go to Sleep Right Now, the Bogeyman Will Come and Get You!’, ‘That dress looks good on you’,’ I Didn't Do It!' Jokes aside :D, what is lying? Lying is a form of deception lying is giving someone wrong information, knowing that it is untrue but yet you tell them intending to decieve the person. Lying is probably one of the most common bad acts that we all carry out but yet everyone considers lying as bad. So why do people lie? There are many reasons why one may lie; some people may lie because they are scared, if they tell the truth they’ll get punished for it hence they lie. Then there are some who have committed a bad act and don’t want to be accused for it hence they lie. What religions say about lying? All religions and religious teachings say lying is wrong. Some say it in a more subtle way implying that lying is wrong and that it will lead to misery and downfall, and so you shouldn't do it.
